Plots: One of the Reed Outlaw Gang members known as Boyd "Chance" Hamilton returned to the little town of Heaven, CA after the entire gang escaped the custody of the U.S. Marshals. Two of the local towns women were found cut apart with parts missing. Boyd and a "Black Robed Monk" mis-directed a few of the local angry drunks toward an Indian Medicine Man outside of town. The small Lynch Mob rode out and killed the Shaman. When they returned, the Lynch Mob discovered that a thrid woman was killed during their absence and all evidence poited directly to Boyd, who had just fled town. The Sheriff ordered Deputy Joe to follow Boyd and sent word for anyone interested in being a part of the Posse meet Deputy Joe at Miss Ember's Trading Post. The Posse arrived in time to see the Trading Post being robbed. They chased off the Bandits. They eventually found the bandits, killed them and recovered the money. Mysterious deaths ocurred around the Trading Post. That night the Post was attacked by a Manitou, the vengeful spirit of the murdered Medicine Man. The Manitou was slowly killing those that had murdered him. Through the help of an Irish stranger who arrived, they contacted the Medicine Man's apprentice. They were able to convince the apprentice to ceremonially bless some knives and were able to stop the Manitou.
The following morning, Boyd arrived at the Trading Post with a kidnapped woman and several hired guns. The Posse fought Boyd and his men, rescuing the woman. During the gunfight Deputy Joe was killed. The Posse captured Boyd. After much discussion of that to do with Boyd, the kidnapped woman grabbed a gun and shot Boyd dead.

Synopsis / Invite: [NON-CAMPAIGN LARP]
"Trouble Outside Heaven"
Date: March 26-27, 2011 GM: Dave Miner In-game Location: In the Wild West near the town of Heaven, California (population 112). OOG Location: I am currently looking at returning to Sage Ranch (the location of the November overnight Game) If anyone has a great location for a Western themed game, please let me know ASAP. I would like to find a place that is really good for our purposes. The key to a good western location, for our purposes, are privacy. What would benefit us most would be a secluded location that we could have all to ourselves. After all, we will be wearing toy pistols and pointing them at one another! Let me know if any of you have ideas.
OOG Info: Since this is a Western themed game, we will be using safe projectile firing toy guns. We hope to achieve a fair proximity to realism with our toys, and as such many of our Western players prefer Edison gummy bullet toy guns. These days we mostly buy our Edison toy guns from www.kapowwe.com. They can be found under the "gummy" section, or do a site search for "gummy." If players are interested in buying these guns for the game, we woud love to pool together for a large order to save on shipping. Contact me to let me know if you want to join in the order.
Other "shootin' irons" are also acceptible for Dark Frontier, but we discourage bright neon. So if Nerf or Nerf-like is your thing, please make an effort to paint it or modify it to look less modernly garish. With a little work, many Nerf guns are ready to go. You can also find Nerf-like guns in a lever action rifle style and break action double barrel shotgun style at Target and Toys R Us.
Synopsis / Invite: The local Sheriff is gathering a posse to go after a few outlaws... more to come.
This game system will be a little different from the traditional Campaign Game. I will certainly be in need of many NPCs.
